c.1935 Barclay, Manoil & Grey Iron, Doctor, Nurse & Patient
Here are three different cast lead soldiers from three different toy companies. Yet when viewed next to each other they go together beautifully. There are no paint touch-up's or repainting. Barclay No. 746 Army Doctor - 3¼" tall, brown version with flat underbase, Red Cross arm band and Doctor's bag. Excellent+ to near mint with approximately 96% original paint remaining. Tiny chip on left cheek, light wear to coat lapels, pocket, right wrist, and front coat edge. Also right rear arm, elbow, left rear bottom trouser leg, tiny spot of coat center and rear base edge. Manoil No.29 Wounded Soldier Walking - 3" tall, walking version. With approximately 98% original paint remaining. Tiny chips on nose and chin. Paint rubs on coat tails, trousers seat, and right rear thigh. Grey Iron No. 23 Red Cross Nurse - 3" tall, wearing red cross arm band. Excellent++ to near mint with approximately 97% original paint remaining. Tiny chips on right cheek, right shoulder, left hat brim. In addition right edge of cloak, chip in center rear of cloak, left elbow and right shoe heel. Sold. Apr. 2007
